SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC EQUITY
THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The barriers to equitable participation in entrepreneurship for underrepresented groups are multifaceted. The way to unlock entrepreneurial pathways for all groups is to invest in creating programs that support different types of entrepreneurs and tailor services to the diverse experiences and challenges facing different racial and ethnic, socioeconomic, and gender subgroups.
Data shows that federal stimulus as a response to the pandemic was correlated to an upswing in business registrations, particularly in Black and Brown communities, pointing to the potential for renewed entrepreneurship that exists in a post–COVID-19 world. In an effort to support minority-owned small businesses, Social Justice Creations has launched pilot programs aimed at helping underrepresented populations break the intergenerational transmission of inequities in entrepreneurship and wealth in the United States—a significant step toward equality of opportunity for all.
Fall 2022
My Sister Circle is an initiative dedicated to empowering Black and Brown women by fostering connections, collaboration, and community while breaking down economic barriers. Our ultimate vision is to establish community funds in major cities across the US, providing essential financial support to our members through grants, scholarships, and awards. We firmly believe that sisterhood plays a pivotal role in empowerment, driving social change, and achieving financial freedom.
Kicking off this Fall, My Sister Circle will help women in prime cities establish thriving businesses in urban communities with funding and business development assistance and promote existing businesses with sales, marketing and media support, business credit creation and more.

Living
Lengends
Our initiative focuses on interviewing living legends who have profoundly influenced the United States through their tireless work in the realm of social justice. By capturing their wisdom, experiences, and insights, we aim to preserve their remarkable legacies and inspire future generations in the ongoing pursuit of a more equitable and just society.

Developing a New Publishing Department
In the Winter of 2021, the Social Justice Creations Board of
Directors unanimously agreed to establish a new Publishing Department. This Publishing Department will exclusively solicit proposals and publish books and treatises as well as non-fiction and fictional writings that focus on multicultural and social justice issues.
A number of authors in the fields of counseling and psychology have criticized major publication companies for various reasons. Among these reasons include criticisms of the low royalty percentages authors receive for their scholarly works.
This commonly results in authors receiving between 14% – 17% for the many hours they invest in writing and re- writing their scholarly works. Yet, these same critics continue to have their writings published in what have been referred to as “kapitalist publication entities.”
These major publishing companies certainly have developed very effective marketing strategies as well as a range of new technologies that enhance the learning of persons purchasing their products. However, the small royalty agreements and the high cost of their published products represent a form of economic injustice that adversely impact authors, students and persons in the general public who seek to purchase these publications.
